Production Principle
The wear-resistant and scratch-resistant colored stainless steel is made through a dual surface strengthening process of PVD vacuum ion coating and nano AF anti-fingerprint hardening coating. It is a high-end protective decorative metal material. It is designed for public and commercial spaces with frequent contact, high foot traffic, and high risk of wear and tear.

The preparation of wear-resistant and scratch-resistant colored stainless steel involves three core processes:
The first step: Base material pretreatment
Select high-quality cold-rolled stainless steel as the base material. After alkali washing for oil removal and acid washing for activation, the base surface treatment is completed according to customer requirements (8K mirror polishing with Ra ≤ 0.05μm, HL wire drawing 80#~600#, sandblasting, random texture, embossing, etching, etc.), providing a clean and uniform adhesion foundation for subsequent coating.
Step 2: PVD Vacuum Ion Coating for Coloring
Place the pre-treated stainless steel plate into a high vacuum furnace chamber (with a vacuum degree of ≤ 5×10⁻³Pa). Use titanium (Ti), zirconium (Zr), chromium (Cr), etc. as target materials, and introduce reaction gases such as N₂, C₂H₂, CH₄. Through arc evaporation or magnetron sputtering, the target metal is ionized into high-energy particles, which are uniformly deposited on the surface of the stainless steel under the action of an electric field, forming a metal-ceramic composite film layer with a thickness of 0.3~0.8μm.

The PVD film layer is chemically bonded to the stainless steel substrate at the metallurgical level. It passes the scratch test and reaches grade 0 (100% no detachment), and after 300℃ thermal shock cycling 3 times, there is no blistering or peeling. Color difference control: within the same batch, ΔE ≤ 0.5; for different batches, ΔE ≤ 1.0.
Step 3: Nano AF Anti-Fingerprint Hardening Coating
On top of the PVD colored film layer, a uniform layer of organic-inorganic fluorosiloxane nano-coating is applied through precise roller coating or spraying technology. After being subjected to high-temperature baking, a transparent solid protective film with a thickness of only 6 to 20 nanometers is formed on the stainless steel surface.
